Grit has fast become the must-have skill for employees. And not just because it results in better work; it’s also essential for our own mental and emotional health.
Author and TED speaker, Angela Lee Duckworth defines grit as “passion and perseverance for very long-term goals”.
When researching school and college students, Duckworth found that the quality of grit was a greater predictor of success than IQ, EQ (emotional intelligence), or economic situation.
She has since looked into the positive effects of grit in the workplace.
