Ovarian Cancer Awareness Month
It’s time for all Australians to ovary-act in support of our women and families. Our seminars and educational resources can help put women’s health and wellbeing in front of your workforce. - All February
FebFast / FebFit
‘Pause for a Cause’ and give up alcohol or sugar for a month. Or get moving for 25 minutes a day to help young people walk away from addiction. The goal is to raise funds for Victoria’s Youth Support and Advocacy Service (YSAS) - All February
REDFEB Heart Research Month
Heart Research Month raises awareness about the devastating impact heart disease has on families, friends and communities, and the importance of supporting life-saving heart research.
Its an ideal time to consider onsite heart checks for your workforce. - 2 February
Physical Disability Awareness Day
In 2024, Physical Disability Awareness Day moved to an international event and welcomed everyone to join us in recognising and celebrating the many people who live with a physical disability. It’s an opportunity for making some noise, being seen, being recognised, being considered and being celebrated. - 3-9 February
Tinnitus Awareness Week
The campaign seeks to generate funds to run Australia’s first national consumer survey titled “Living with Tinnitus,” aimed at understanding the hidden struggles faced by individuals living with this condition. This population-wide data will be analysed for the econoimic and wellbeing costs, as well as informing research, treatment and policy positions. - 4 February
World Cancer Day
Aims to raise awareness of cancer and to encourage its prevention, detection, and treatment. Consider hosting one of our microsessions on cancer screening to reinforce the message. - 14 February
Wear Red Day
Supporting awareness of heart disease. Consider amping up the awareness with heart health seminars, booklets or onsite heart checks. - 18 February
International Asperger’s Day
Aims to highlight the significance of Asperger syndrome for both society and individuals. It also illustrates the many challenges to the newcomer trying to understand the autism spectrum. - 24 February-2 MarchTBC
Heart Valve Awareness Week
More than half a million Australians were living with heart valve disease in 2021, with an estimated 254,000 people currently living with the disease undiagnosed. This week aims to raise awareness of this serious but treatable disease and encourages Australians aged over 65 to start a conversation with their doctors. - 25 February
Clean Up Australia Day for Businesses
Clean Up Australia inspires and works with communities to clean up, fix up and conserve our environment. The national Business Clean Up Day occurs on the Tuesday before Clean Up Australia Day each year. - 26 February
Teal Ribbon Day (ovarian cancer)
A day to support Australians living with ovarian cancer, honour those we have lost and raise awareness of ovarian cancer. - 28 February
Rare Disease Day
An observance held on the last day of February to raise awareness for rare diseases and improve access to treatment and medical representation for individuals with rare diseases and their families.
