CREATING PSYCHOLOGICAL SAFETY – A FRAMEWORK FOR ORGANISATIONAL RESILIENCE AND TEAM WELLBEING
Designed for senior leaders, this psychosocial hazard training workshop focuses on building confidence and capability in identifying and supporting their team’s wellbeing. By providing insights into some of the key psychological needs that drive human behaviour, participants will learn a practical framework to maximise engagement when it comes to workplace interactions.
INTRODUCTION TO PSYCHOSOCIAL RISK
This general awareness session provides an introduction to psychosocial hazards in the workplace and their impact on employee wellbeing. Participants will explore how prolonged stress can contribute to psychological and physical harm, gain an understanding of employer and employee legal obligations, and learn how to identify common psychosocial risks. The session also outlines practical harm prevention and risk management strategies, along with resources to support the creation of a safe and healthy work environment.
This session is available as a 60-minute session for a general audience and as a 90-minute session for people leaders.
DEALING WITH CHANGE AND UNCERTAINTY
Change is inevitable – in our work, our lives, and the world around us. While uncertainty can feel uncomfortable, it doesn’t have to be overwhelming. With the right mindset, tools, and strategies, change can become something we navigate with confidence rather than resistance.
This 60 minute session equips participants with tools to manage and navigate change and uncertainty effectively. It explores common unhealthy thinking styles that can hinder growth, performance, and decision-making during periods of transition, alongside problem solving techniques that build psychological flexibility. Participants gain practical strategies to strengthen resilience, reduce resistance, and build high performing teams that can adapt and thrive in the face of change.
MANAGING AGGRESSIVE AND DISTRESSED CUSTOMERS
This psychosocial workplace training session explores the different forms of aggression that can arise with customers and provides practical strategies for managing conflict. Participants will learn key dos and don’ts of handling customer aggression and how to support staff in developing effective techniques for prevention and management. The session also covers how to recognise signs of employee distress following aggressive incidents and offers self-care strategies and additional support for managing the aftermath.
HOW TO DEAL WITH PEOPLE WHO PUSH YOUR BUTTONS
This session focuses on on the prevention of psychological hazards strategies to de-escalate strong emotions and regulate our own responses in challenging situations. Participants will explore how neuroscience can help prevent reactive behaviour and learn techniques to calm the threat response. The session also covers how to defuse tense situations and introduces a three-part assertive conversation framework to effectively communicate your message.
THRIVE UNDER PRESSURE: UNPACKING THE PSYCHOLOGICAL SKILLS NEEDED TO MANAGE STRESS IN THE WORKPLACE
This 3 hour practical session explores the psychological side of stress and resilience, equipping participants with the tools to understand and manage pressure in the workplace.
Participants will learn how the body and mind respond to stress, how to distinguish between helpful and harmful pressure, and evidence-based strategies to regulate emotions and build long-term resilience. Drawing on insights from neuroscience, the session also introduces effective approaches to goal-setting and sustaining performance under pressure.
MENTAL HEALTH FOUNDATIONS FOR PEOPLE LEADERS
Equip your people leaders with the confidence and practical skills to support mental health in the workplace in a focused 3-hour in-person session or a streamlined 2.5-hour online format.
Designed for managers and supervisors, this interactive training helps participants recognise the signs of common mental health conditions, start supportive conversations, and respond effectively.
Participants will learn how to initiate discussions with confidence, develop practical management plans, and provide ongoing support, helping create a safer, more supportive work environment.
STRATEGIES TO MANAGE CONFLICT
This interactive 60-minute session explores emotionally intelligent approaches to conflict, with the option of a shorter 30-minute format.
Designed to build awareness and practical skills, it covers what conflict is, why it occurs, and common reactions, along with the differences between conflict at work and at home and how to recognise it before it escalates.
Participants will walk away with practical strategies to manage conflict more effectively in both the workplace and at home.
